Who is Avi Knolla?

Storytelling has always been my way of making sense of the world. Whether it's through poetry or short stories, I find beauty in the details that often go unnoticed. My journey as a writer began in Los Angeles, where I started writing and editing for my high school literary magazine, which led me to Oregon, where I earned my degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing, and to Tuscany, where I studied abroad and deepened my appreciation for different cultures and languages.

My work has been featured in several literary magazines, and I published a poetry pamphlet during my time at the University of Oregon which is kept in the Knight Library Archives. Each piece I write aims to capture the fleeting moments of life—whether it's a conversation overheard in a café or the quiet stillness before dawn.

When I’m not writing, I’m either reading novels or watching movies, always on the hunt for new ideas, or exploring the trails and neighborhoods around Los Angeles with friends. I believe that creativity is everywhere, and I’m always on the lookout for inspiration in the most unexpected places.

Feel free to browse my portfolio and get in touch if you’re interested in collaborating or simply sharing ideas. I’d love to connect!
